Griffin

Fierce and loyal, a griffin has horns that cure sickness, feathers that restore sight, and a beak used for quarrying gold.

There are theories that tales of the griffin first began when fossilized remains of the Protoceratops were discovered in gold mines by ancient observers. With fossils of a nest and eggs nearby, onlookers may have interpreted the sheep-sized dinosaur as an astonishing half-bird-half-beast.

Happy Friday!
